Luminar 3070 BenchTop AOTF-NIR Spectrometer

IN-LINE / AT-LINE

When thinking of AOTF-NIR advantages, most typically think of in-line or at-line advantages. However, the Luminar 3070 Benchtop AOTF-NIR Spectrometer also has advantages because it is an AOTF-NIR instrument, namely:

  • Dry Measurements – reflectance with a rotating dish for powders and granules with almost zero preparation. Single tablets in reflectance are possible. Speed is 5 to 8 seconds per sample.

  • Liquid Measurements – flow cell with pouring the sample into a funnel, allowing good representation of large sample volume, enabling less homogeneous liquids. Speed is 5 to 8 seconds per sample.

  • Transmission Arm with Detector – for single tablets in transmission. Also, seeds in transmission.

  • Immunity to Ambient Light – no need to shield the sample, making it easier to operate.

TYPICAL MEASUREMENT CAPABILITIES

The Luminar 3070 provides fast, non‑destructive NIR measurements that improve the ability to manufacturers to ensure real‑time quality control across food, agriculture, and other major industrial laboratory environments. Typical measurement applications include:

Flour Measurement Using Brirmose Luminar 3070 Benchtop

Rapid, Non-destructive Flour Measurement Using the Brimrose Benchtop AOTF-NIR Spectrometer

  • Laboratory Material Analysis & Quality Control: Measurement of chemical and physical properties for materials—powders, solids, liquids, gels, and tablets, etc.

  • Flour Composition Measurement: Rapid determination of moisture, protein, ash content

  • Sugar Monitoring: Measurement of % sugar in agricultural products such as sugar beets (per NIR application report)
