From Feedstock to Fuel
Why we MEASURE?
Qualification of Biodiesel is very important to both manufacturers and consumers, some of the important components to look at include Moisture, glycerides (mono, di, tri), and Fatty Acid Methyl Esters. It is essential to measure these components to ensure that the finished product is of the highest quality.
how is it MEASURED?
Typically, most measurements are taken in the lab. A sample has to be taken from the line, prepared, and analyzed, sometimes being shipped to a third-party lab if one is not on site. Using traditional methods cost time and money and can result in unnecessary waste.
Brimrose AOTF-NIR spectrometers are rugged, non-destructive test devices for qualification and quantification of biodiesel.
Successful implementation of an AOTF-NIR spectrometer results in:
Measurements are taken in line with no sample preparation
Samples are not destroyed during analysis
Reduce man hours spent on routine lab work
Save energy, time, and money from errors in production
Minimize rework and scrap
Why are you still in the Lab?
