Brimrose FreeSpaceTM technology was
developed during the NASA Mars program and has now been
successfully integrated into pharmaceutical process
applications. A solid state design that has no moving parts
and high speed scanning capabilities, combined with
non-contact analysis, is ideal where instant analytical
results in the production line are critical. The
FreeSpaceTM 2030 AOTF-NIR analyzer determines
through a window, the glass of a vial or even through the
blister pack the organic chemical composition, actives,
starch and moisture content of solid, pellets powder and
liquids. It is now possible to analyze every individual vial
or tablet before or after packaging and, if necessary,
earlier during the production process. Several analog &
digital I/O's allow instant reaction and control.
Brimrose has cooperated with a large number of manufacturers
to integrate this technology into existing equipment like
blenders, dryers, final product inspection arrays, and
others.
NOTE: The FreeSpaceTM
has been very successful with the demand of determining
actives in or on transdermal patches.
