Brimrose has implemented an innovative concept in the use of NIR --
Total Quality Management System.
The Total Quality Management System will now monitor and control the
processing of pharmaceutical products in different stages of the
ASTRAZENECA Tablet Facility in Plankstadt, Germany. The System uses
various types of Brimrose AOTF-NIR Spectrometers in different
manufacturing operations such as:
- Identification / specification of all incoming raw materials in
the dispensaries and the warehouse
- Fluid Bed Drier end point control
- Continuous in-line monitoring of blending & end point control
- In-line monitoring of tablet quality parameters against registered
specifications
In addition, the System includes operators' interfaces with bar code
capability in every process stage and a 21CFR, Part 11 compliant
data management system.
The Total Quality Management System ensures real-time continuous
quality, significant manufacturing cost reduction, and reduction of
product inventory.
