AOTF-NIR Determination of % Sucrose,
Dissolved Solids, Betaine, and
Absorption @420nm in a Sucrose Solution
Abstract:
A Brimrose Luminar AOTF-NIR
spectrometer was used to scan
spectra of sucrose samples with
known levels of % sucrose, dissolved
solids, betaine, and absorption
@420nm. Although 420nm is out of the
NIR range, the NIR spectra can be
correlated to the absorption @420nm.
The regression models showed good
correlation and predictions which
confirmed that the Brimrose
spectrometer is able to correlate
these parameters to spectral data.
