Urethane Coating Thickness on
Polyethylene Terephthalate Film
Using a Brimrose Thin Film
Analyzer
Abstract:
A Brimrose Thin Film
Analyzer was used to scan
spectral data of
polyethylene terephthalate
film having different
urethane coating
thicknesses. Regression
models were created for
classification of the
different films and for
quantitative analysis of the
coating thickness using the
spectral data and reference
values. Predictions were
performed and the results
showed that the Brimrose
Thin Film analyzer was able
to classify the films based
on coating thickness and to
quantify coating thickness
on the films.
