AOTF-NIR Determination of
Percent Resin to Hardener
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Luminar
spectrometer was used to
scan spectral data on
mixtures of a polyester
resin solution and a
hardener, polyisocyonate
solution. Reference data was
available for the
proportions of each solution
in the mixtures and
regression models were
created using the reference
data and spectral data. The
results showed good
correlation despite some
question as to the accuracy
of the reference values.
