Analysis of Polymers
with AOTF-NIR Technology
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Handheld spectrometer was utilized to collect spectral data of various polymers with different properties. A qualitative analysis was utilized using a pattern recognition algorithm with the spectral data obtained from the AOTF-NIR spectrometer. The analysis displayed clustering of each polymer types and offered variation between different polymers. This study shows that a Brimrose AOTF-NIR can provide a qualitative method of analysis of polymers.
