Black Color with
AOTF-NIR Technology
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Handheld spectrometer was utilized to collect spectral data of 3 various polymers with carbon black coloring. A qualitative analysis was utilized using a pattern recognition algorithm with the spectral data obtained from the AOTF-NIR spectrometer. The analysis displayed a clear discrimination between the 3 samples. Before this study no other method was able to separate carbon black polymers. This study shows that a Brimrose AOTF-NIR can provide a qualitative method of analysis of carbon black polymers.
