Glass Fibers Using AOTF-NIR
Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Handheld Spectrometer was used to scan samples of chopped and roving fiberglass with varying moisture levels and loss on ignition values. A quantitative method of analysis was developed for measuring moisture levels and predicting LOI values forchopped and roving fiberglass. The study shows that a Brimrose AOTF-NIR spectrometer was be utilized for measurements of moisture and LOI.
