Measuring Percent Solids
of Binder Solutions
using AOTF-NIR
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR spectrometer was used to collect spectral data from five samples of binding solution using a transflectance probe. These solutions contained varying percentages of solids. A quantitative method of analysis was developed using the spectral data and the constituents values of each solution. The study demonstrates that a Brimrose-AOTF NIR analysis provides spectral that will allow for a accurate, precise and robust quantitative method of analysis for percent solids in binding solutions.
