Measuring Relative Viscosity in Polyamide Pellets using AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy

Abstract:

A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Free Space spectrometer was used to scan samples of polyamide pellets. The regression model showed good results despite the fact that only ten samples were used to build the calibration. The model was validated by predicting unknown samples for relative viscosity.
