Measuring Nylon 6,6, Polypropylene &
Styrene Butadiene, and Calcium Carbonate
& Aluminum Tri-Hydrate in Fibers Using
AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Free Space
spectrometer was used to scan fiber
samples containing varying amounts
of Nylon 6,6, Polypropylene &
Styrene Butadiene, and Calcium
Carbonate & Aluminum Tri-Hydrate.
Regression models were created using
the spectral data and reference
values for each of these parameters.
Each model shoewd good correlation
between the spectral data and
reference values.
