Measuring Ethylene-Vinyl
Chloride on a Polymer Sheet
Using AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose Luminar AOTF-NIR
Free Space spectrometer was
used to collect spectral
data on different types of
polymer sheets with varying
ethylene-vinyl chloride
thickness. Spectralon was
used as a background
material to allow for total
reflectance of the light
that scanned the sheets. The
results for the calibration
models and predictions were
excellent and showed that
ethylene-vinyl chloride
thickness can be correlated
to spectral data collected
using the Brimrose Free
Space spectrometer.
