The Measurement of % Protein,
% Oil, and % Moisture in Fish
Feed Using AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
The Brimrose calibration
transfer program Transcal
was used to transfer
calibration data on fish
feed from a Foss NIR
laboratory spectrometer to a
Brimrose AOTF-NIR process
spectrometer. The results
clearly showed that the
Brimrose process
spectrometer can obtain
better results measuring %
protein, % oil, and %
moisture in fish feed. The
fast scanning speed and lack
of moving parts make the
Brimrose AOTF-NIR
spectrometer the ideal
instrument for real-time,
on-line process control.
