AOTF-NIR Determination of Brix and
Titratable Acidity in Orange Juice
Abstract:
The results for the study to measure
brix and titratable acidity in
orange juice were similar to the
total sugars and brix study. The
results showed the feasibility of
implementing a Brimrose spectrometer
to measure all three parameters for
real-time on-line process control of
making orange juice at both the
grower and processor levels. The
Brimrose instrument is the ideal
tool for real-time on-line process
control because of it's very fast
scanning speed and lack of moving
parts.
