AOTF-NIR Determination of
Moisture in Instant Coffee
Abstract:
A Brimrose Luminar Free
Space spectrometer was used
to collect spectral data of
16 samples of instant
coffee. Despite the small
size and variations in the
sample set, the results were
excellent and clearly showed
that the Brimrose Free Space
spectrometer is able to
accurately measure moisture
in instant coffee. The
regression coefficients for
the model proved that
moisture in the coffee beans
can be correlated to
spectral data.
