Measuring Various Parameters
in Raw milk and in Pasteurized &
Homogenized Milk Using AOTF-NIR
Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Free
Space spectrometer was used
to scan spectral data on
samples of raw milk and
pasteurized & homogenized
milk. Reference values were
provided for fat, protein,
lactose, and total solids.
Regression models were set
up using the spectral data
and reference values and
prediction results showed
that these parameters can be
measured using the 'Brimrose
Free Space spectrometer.
