Protein and Solids in Whey
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Luminar
Free space spectrometer was
used to collect spectra of
samples of whey in both an
on-line simulation and
statically. The spectral
data and reference values
were used to create
calibration models for both
the dynamic and static
spectra. The results were
equally good for both
situations and the
predictions for the model
confirmed that the Brimrose
spectrometer is accurately
able to predict % protein
and solids in whey.
