Analysis of Tall Oil Fatty Acids
Using AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Luminar
spectrometer was used to scan
spectral data on samples of tall oil
fatty acid with varying amounts of
rosin acid and acid numbers. Unknown
samples were predicted using the
calibration model and the results
proved that the Brimrose AOTF-NIR
Luminar spectrometer can accurately
predict rosin acid and acid number
in tall oil fatty acid.
