The Online Analysis of
Recovered Solvents Using
AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Luminar
spectrometer attached to
flow cells with fibers was
used to collect on-line
spectral data on toluene,
methanol, and ethyl acetate
solvent recovery streams.
Reference values were
obtained for the streams and
the spectral data was
correlated to the reference
values. The models showed
excellent results and proved
that it is feasible to
measure on-line values of
solvent recovery streams
using spectral data obtained
from the Brimrose AOTF-NIR
Luminar spectrometer.
