Identification of Catalysts Using
AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Luminar
spectrometer was used to scan
spectral data of five different
catalysts used in the manufacturing
of polymethylmethacrylate polymer.
Many of the catalysts are very
similar in structure and there were
even two catalysts where one was the
dimer of the other. Despite the
similarities in structure, the
Brimrose AOTF-NIR spectrometer was
able to show clear and discernible
spectral differences that could be
used to implement a control delivery
plan for using these catalysts.
