Measuring Bulk Density in Calcium
Hypochlorite Tablets Using AOTF-NIR
Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Free Space
spectrometer was used to scan
spectral data on samples of calcium
hypochlorite tablets with varying
values for bulk density. The
reference values for bulk density
were used along with the spectral
data to create a PLS 1 regression
model. The results for the model
were excellent and prediction
results proved that bulk density can
be measured in calcium hypochlorite
tablets using spectral data and a
regression model.
