Phenols in Distillation Column
Product Using AOTF-NIR
Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Luminar
Multiplexer spectrometer was
used to scan spectral data
on samples with varying
levels of phenol compounds
taken from a distillation
column. Reference values
were available for each
compound in the samples and
regression models were
created for each compound.
The results were very
accurate and showed that the
Brimrose AOTF-NIR
spectrometer can accurately
measure the percentages of
these compounds in a
distillation column in a
real-time, on-line
situation.
