Measuring Salicylic Acid in Rubber
Using AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Luminar
spectrometer was used to scan
spectral data on rubber samples
containing salicylic acid and one
placebo sample. A regression model
was created and one unknown sample
was used to verify the results. A
comparison of the placebo spectra
was the salicylic acid spectra and
the prediction results showed that
the Brimrose AOTF-NIR Luminar
spectrometer is able to accurately
measure salicylic acid concentration
in rubber samples.
