Classifying Corn Seeds Based on Oil
Content Using AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Seed Meister spectrometer was used to scan
corn seeds with high and low values for oil. A PLS 1 regression
model was created for classification analysis by assigning all low
oil seeds a value of one and all high oil seeds a value of two. The
models showed good results and predictions that were performed on a
validation set of seeds proved the validity of the model.
