A Brimrose Seed Meister was used to
scan spectra of three varieties of
peanuts with varying amounts of oil.
The spectral data was collected in
transmission mode and modeling was
done for each variety of peanut.
Predictions were done on some of the
samples using the models and they
gave excellent results, especially
when considering the many variations
in the peanuts such as shape,
thickness, and texture.
