Identification of Tablets in Blisters Using
Brimrose AOTF-NIR Free SpaceTM Technology
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Free Space spectrometer was
used to scan tablets and capsules directly
through a PVC blister. Good separation was
maintained for placebos and active having
different concentrations. The results indicated
that the model could accurately quantify active
concentration in tablets and capsules by using a
model with the PVC spectra as a background
correction and by using non-linear calibration
techniques for tablet analysis.
