Dynamic Classification of Pharmaceutical Tablets
and Capsules Using AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
The Brimrose Luminar 3030 Free Space
spectrometer designed for seed analysis in
transmission mode was modified to operate in
reflectance made for the purpose of classifying
placebos and five types of pharmaceutical
tablets and capsules. Spectral data were
collected on both the placebos and actives. The
Brimrose Free space spectrometer was able to
separate placebos and actives, and quantitative
analysis of dosage level was capable for most of
the tablets.
