Classifying Ditropan XL Tablets Using
AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Free Space
spectrometer was used to scan four
groups of Ditropan XL Tablets: 0 mg
placebo, 5 mg placebo, 15 mg active,
and 5 mg OC(overcoated). The tablets
were scanned from the side and only
2 scans were collected per spectrum
because in the real-life application
for these tablets, they will be
moving very fast under the light
beam. The spectra showed enough
differences for classification
analysis, especially for the 15 mg
active tablets which had much
different spectral features than the
other three groups.
