Measuring Menthol Concentration in
Cough Drops Using AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Free Space
spectrometer was used to scan cough
drops with varying menthol
concentration. The regression model
showed good correlaion between the
spectral data and menthol
concentation. The results were
especially good considering there
were only five values for menthol
for menthol in the cough drops.
