Feasibility Study: Measuring Blend
Uniformity in Sulfamethazine and
Cornstarch Using AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Free Space
spectrometer was used to scan
spectral data on samples with
varying % active sulfamethazine in
cornstarch and samples with the same
% active but with different mixing
levels. Spectral differences were
very clear in both the varying %
active samples and the samples with
different mixing levels. Regression
modeling showed that % active
sulfamethazine in cornstarch can be
correlated to spectral data.
