Evaluation of AOTF-NIR Spectroscopy for
Quantitative Determination of Pseudo and True
Polymorphs
Abstract:
A Brimrose AOTF-NIR Free Space spectrometer was
used to scan spectral data on several samples
consisting of two roughly mixed pseudo
polymorphs. Spectra were also collected for an
undesired and desired form of a true polymorph.
There were clear spectral differences in the
true polymorphs and chemometric analysis of the
pseudo polymorphs indicated that quantitative
measurement from spectral data is feasible.
